My husband, our daughter, and I, along with my husband's parents, his sister and her husband and child, and my mother, all went to enjoy 9 nights, 10 days in Kauai this past August. Although I was slightly apprehensive in the beginning as to whether the home would accommodate all of us with enough space, the home turned out to be perfect. Bedroom locations and family common spaces were very well thought out in this large home. With 3 bedrooms downstairs, each ensuite, and a more private upstairs suite with lanai and kitchenette, the home worked out extremely well for our group. The front yard with the pool and lounge chairs was a really relaxing spot for everyone to hang out in the late afternoon after morning activities. We had many fun times swimming and talking in the beautifully landscaped surroundings. My daughter even found a fallen coconut which we punctured and drank the wonderful milk. Yum! The location was perfect, with a quick 7-8 minute walk through the Hanalei Bay Resort, down to the most beautiful little beach, also shared by the St. Regis Hotel. Sunsets and mornings on the large Lanai were relaxing and provoked long stretches of napping and reading while looking up at rainbows forming over Hanalei Bay. The kitchen was well equipped, with plenty of plates, cutlery, cups, mugs, pots, pans, etc, for all 9 of us. The refrigerator was large enough to hold even our initial stockpile from the Costco as we came from the airport. So close to everything to see in Kauai. The North Shore is just magical. Hanalei Bay is just 10 minutes away, with Queens Bath, Hideaways beach, Tunnels, Napali coast, etc. all within 25 minutes and as close as 5. The property felt so private, with the mature plants and trees. We will definitely return to this lovely home. Oh, and the beds were all super comfy, everyone agreed. The in bedroom air conditioning was also a very nice feature of this home, especially for the older people, and the children. We had a couple of small problems with washing machine and toilet, both of which were handled immediately, and with such ease we barely even noticed the work being done. We are so thrilled at the on island contact, and the ease with which things were taken care of. Liz is truly fantastic! We can't wait to return to our lovely family reunion retreat on Kauai, where Ohana (family) really is brought together beautifully in this gem of a property on the North Shore in the land of Puff the magic dragon.

What can you possibly say about perfection ! This is it. The island, the home. It's proximity to the beach, golf, shopping. When traveling, much of the time, accommodations don't live up to the expectations one has. Beth and Paul, you're beautifully appointed home certainly does. From the time you open the front gate you'll know you've arrived at a very special place. Walking by the pool and beautiful mermaid statue, on the way to the front door, anticipation grows. Once inside, you'll find yourself going from room to room, smiling, then it hits you...that view...you find yourself standing on the lanai looking over the most magnificent view of the vegetation, mountains and Hanalei Bay. You'll never tire of the view. Morning, afternoon, evening, at night, you'll be drawn back to the lanai to hear the birds calm and the surf come in. Did I say perfection ? This home lends itself from young to mature :) We took the kids and grand kids and everyone had an immediate connection with this home. We hope to be back soon. Thanks again Beth & Paul for sharing your home. Mahalo,

Perfect Property in Paradise
My husband, and I stayed at this property with our two young children for Thanksgiving. We have stayed at many, many VRBO properties both in Hawaii and across the US, and this one was simply the best. The location was perfect, with views of the ocean and green mountains and just a 10-minute walk through a gorgeous neighborhood and down a private path to the beach. The private path has a few steep hills to traverse, but you can call for a golf cart to take you (for a gratuity) if you need. We never did, and enjoyed the walk. The neighborhood felt extremely safe, and had many jogging/biking paths, a golf course and a children's playground. The nearest grocery store was just a mile away. The house itself is beautiful, immaculate, and completely surrounded by lush tropical greenery. You could not look out a window without feeling like you were in a remote jungle paradise. The way the house is situated makes it very private as well. Leaving doors and windows open gave a nice cross breeze, and the air conditioning in the bedrooms (a rarity in Hawaii) made for very restful nights. We were there for Thanksgiving, and the kitchen is so well-equipped. We could have easily cooked a Thanksgiving meal fit for a king there, but we decided to take advantage of the Thanksgiving buffet at the St. Regis resort down the street. The restaurant (Makana Terrace) overlooks Hanalei Bay, and provided the most relaxing environment and delicious food. They have Sunday brunch there with a nearby playroom for the kids. Children were welcome to come and go from the playroom (for free! even though we weren't hotel guests), and it made for the most relaxing morning. Finally, the owner, property manager and maintenance man were all VERY friendly and attentive while still giving us the privacy we so enjoy. We had only one small issue with the jacuzzi and it was handled immediately. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be coming back soon!

Truly an amazing home and a perfect gateway...
The view home is amazing and has all the amenities that you could want! Perfect for anyone that wants to get away from it all and if they want to bring several friends along, there is plenty of room! It was the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in and was worth every penny.

Dream Come True
This has been a perfect location for celebrating our 50th anniversary with our family of 13. The view as we entered your lovely home was absolutely breath-taking. The roomy lanai was a great place for a morning cup of coffee while we listened to bird calls and admired the beautiful rainbows.Gorgeous foliage provided privacy, and we enjoyed the tree fresh limes. The guys had fun with the pool table, and there was plenty of room for cards, TV watching etc. Beth & Paul, thank you for your thoughtfulness and all you have provided to make this a comfortable "home away from home."

Just got back from a big family vacation at this house. It was a great place to stay. Spacious, comfortable home in a beautiful setting. The kids loved the pool; we loved the island. I wish we could have stayed longer. There is so much to see and explore in the area. We have stayed at other house rentals before and this one was the best.

Paradise Without the Beachfront
We took my mother-in-law to Hawaii for her 80th birthday, staying in the home listed above. The property was immaculate, inside and out, deserving of the price paid. Each of the four bedrooms was richly furnished, including a large flat screen TV in each. From the kitchen to the hot tub to the pool to the beautiful lanai.... Everything about it was just great!

Once in a lifetime luxury vacation
My husband and I wanted to do something memorable for our children and grandchildren. We could not all be together for Christmas here at our home, so we decided to bring Christmas to them with a present of a once in a lifetime luxury vacation. We started planning this vacation the end of 2006 and it became a reality November 10 through November 17, 2007. Our daughter and son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren, ages 12 and 6, live in Montana. We have a son who lives in California with his girlfriend, and another son who lives in our hometown here, Joliet, IL, along with our 1-year old grandson. My daughter's mother-in-law lives here in Joliet IL. She also made the trip. We had 11 in all. Family is important to us and this opportunity for all of us to be together was so special. This was the first time my daughter and her family met their 1-year old nephew and cousin from Joliet. The grandchildren loved being together. The setting for this reunion could not have been more perfect. This home was elegant yet still homey where we were so comfortable. We so enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and lanai with the breathtaking view of the Bay. The living area upstairs was perfect for my daughter's family and mother-in-law. This home was a luxury experience for all of us. This home would be suited for all travelers who are looking for togetherness, serenity, and beauty. We enjoyed going to the beach and snorkeling. I would have to say that was the most enjoyable for the family. We did a day of kayaking, hiking, and swimming by a waterfall. The Waimea Canyon was beautiful to see also. The Kilauea Lighthouse was interesting. The Bull Shed was a fantastic restaurant for adults. If this experience could be repeated for our family, we would truly spend our vacation time at this paradise.

A tropical paradise with stunning sea, mountain and valley views, of rainbows and flowers, gorgeous gardens and pool - all from the opulent luxury of a spectacularly designed and decorated contemporary home - with rich and warm stone and granite, church-height ceilings, flat screen televisions and central lighting, panoramic windows everywhere, wonderful original art and floral creations throughout, and the most comfortable beds and restful bedroom decors imaginable. Impeccable in every detail and every need is provided for in five star resort style. Location is a 10 minutes walk to the Princeville Hotel beach on Hanalei Bay and one block from the beautiful landscape and restaurant of the Hanalei Bay Resort. Princeville/Hanalei Bay area is arguably the most beautiful 'Garden of Eden' in the world, and this home is an unforgettable masterpiece from which to soak in all the beauty in total privacy! Words are not sufficient to describe the beauty and peaceful feeling of our stay here! Thank you, Beth and Paul, for allowing us to share the paradise you have created. It was wonderful!
